Chase Letters

What is Chase Letters

How to use CLI/Forms when wish to create Chase Letters which are based on documents created in ITAS.

a)     Use DOCMAN to create correct folder for the company named as ClientDocs.

b)     Use DOCDES to create the chase letters in a folder that has been assigned to CLI.  The content of the letter is determined by you using standard DOCDES rules e.g. chr20_title, chr20_addr1, itasdate, itasconame.   The special rules for locating existing DOCMAN secured items ready for picking in CLI/Forms are the following [SELECT#docman_contract], [SELECT#docman_templatename], [SELECT#docman_docpath], [SELECT#docman_docref].  In order for these rules to be made available to CLI, you also MUST update the DOCDES templates’ properties (in WORD/RTF).  The properties of each template are used to pass specific information to various applications.  To use the SELECT#docman rules you must update the properties/summary/comments with the following text  [SELECT docman_templatename,docman_contract,docman_docref,docman_docpath  FROM gf_docman WHERE docman_comp=##menu.comp## AND docman_counterparty=##chr20_acc##]

c)     Now use CLI/Forms and use the letter with any of those special rules and form/properties. This will result in the full list of documents that have been indexed to the CLI account, ready for picking (only 1). The resulting document will then be available for permanent storage/indexing in DOCMAN.
