BUDGET - Budget Report

What is BUDGET

There are 4 report styles;
1)       a simple report comparing the budget values that are maintained in NOM, with their accounting values for a single month. Only accounts with budget information setup will be reported.

2)       a 13 column fiscal year review of budgets and their accounting values. Only accounts with budget information setup will be reported.

3)       a 13 column fiscal year review of budgets and the relevant TRADE forecasts, there are extra selections for limiting content and precision of forecast results. Only accounts with budget information setup will be reported. The link for TRADE forecasts to their respective NOM budget accounts is the PHYSCODES/Commodity table item setup as ‘Liquidation account’ (N/L P&L Account). The forecast is the CUST_PL result for invoiced sales else the estimated P&L as shown by TRADE.

4)       a grid list of the accounts and their budget values for 1 fiscal year.

The ‘how to use’ is simple, only needing to select the accounting period or fiscal year for analysis. There is a NOM filter to limit the accounts to be reported.
There is a feature (Group Totals by account Title) for reporting the accounts performance/budget using the hierarchical structure. This is useful where the budget is maintained for the group i.e. the NOM title account, but the accounting values are posted to the detail accounts that make up that group e.g. title is Trading Results, detail accounts are Sales Proceeds, Cost of Stock, Direct Costs...
The PLR has a feature to show the selected months budget and Year-to-Date budget instead of the previous years comparision amounts.
