ITAS Release 8.5.4.531

24th March 2016

Trader Desktop

New Features

License Key Lockdown. Server Name and expiry date have been added to the ITAS Trader Desktop License key meaning that access to Trader Desktop will be blocked if the license date has been exceeded and potentially if a licence key is copied to another server.

ITAS Web Browser. The Trader Desktop now comes with its own web browser meaning that your users can access information on an intranet site without leaving the application. Trader Desktop can be preconfigured to point to various sites of your choice such as:
  • Xe.com for up to date FX rate information
  • Routers or FT.com for the latest commodities new
  • Your own intranet site for internal news and information
  • Your internal reporting system for information across your estate

Updates to Existing Features

Alert 'toast' now has a character limit to that messages do not fall over the edge of the message.

Various UI snags.

Alert ID has been added to the Alerts Admin > Operational Alerts and Data Alert administrator pages. This enables clients to identify the alert topic and therefore to subscribe to these alerts via the ITAS API. This is especially useful when third party applications (eg reporting or invoicing systems) need to be alerted to specific ITAS events.

Bug Fixes

Alerts History screen did not refresh after deleting item.

An already open, non-TD window (such as MS Word or Notepad), opens when a user clicks 'ok' after creating an alert filter.

Opening a Trade directly from the Trader Desktop Smart Panel takes 3 seconds longer than expected.

Error "Incorrrect syntax near '='" when a 'new item' email alert it triggered for a TRADE cost from phys03.

Known Bugs

Error when Admin without GF access launches CMP, AUTH, MTM or S01. Message details: VBasic Error no:13 Type mismatch Source: ItasDll, upon clicking OK, another error window Msg ID : 003474 Access Denied!

When a user opens a browser and detaches it from the Trader Desktop, the detached window will disappear when the user navigates to a different part of ITAS (eg Trader Desktop home screen). The window will reappear in the same context (i.e. will not reload) when the user navigates back.
