Trader Desktop Homepage
The Trader Desktop Homepage contains a set of tiles that provide access to the system features and menu items. The tiles are presented in three sections (Menu Items, Personal and Information) that can be customised by the user.
The size of the tiles can be configured from the User Preferences (click the username in the header bar at the top of the screen and select 'Preferences') by selecting either 'Small' or 'Large' followed by 'Save Changes'. The homepage can also be reset back to the default layout from the Preferences by selecting 'Reset Tiles'.
Menu Item Tiles (Left)
Menu Item Tiles can be added to provide shortcuts to frequently used menu items. Tiles are pinned and unpinned to the Trader Desktop from the trading entity. For quick identification the tiles assume the same colour assigned to the trading entity.
Adding and Removing Menu Item Tiles
Menu Item Tiles are created by 'pinning' menu items to the Trader Desktop homepage.
- Open the Trading Entities flyout menu from the sidebar
- Hover the cursor over a menu item to reveal a pin icon
- Click on the pin to create a shortcut on the Trader Desktop Homepage
- The pin icon will turn blue to indicate a tile has been added to the Trader Desktop Homepage and the module will appear as a tile on the Trader Desktop Homepage
- Click on the blue pin and the shortcut will be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage
- Alternatively, tiles can be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage by hovering the cursor over the top right corner of the Tile to reveal a pin then clicking the pin to remove the shortcut
User Personal Tiles (Middle)
User Personal Tiles can be created by the user to provide shortcuts to menu items or other .exe’s within ITAS or to create links to external information such as a frequently visited website or a document store on their computer.
Adding and Removing User Personal Tiles
User Personal Tiles are created by clicking on the Add Shortcut Tile on the Trader Desktop homepage. Click on the Add Shortcut Tile to reveal the Add Shortcut screen. Once the required details have been competed the Personal User Tiles are created.
There are several types of User Personal Tiles that can be created:
- Executable
- Document
- Stats
- WebPage
- Link
- Favourite
- Target
- Bookmark
User Personal Tiles can be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage by hovering the cursor over the top right corner of the Tile to reveal a pin. Click the pin to remove the shortcut.
ITAS Information Tiles (Right)
ITAS Information Tiles provides links to content that Hivedome can feed direct to the Trader Desktop. In the past this has been used to inform users of new developments or functionality and links to release notes for upgrades.
ITAS Information Tiles are controlled by Hivedome and therefore cannot be removed by the user.
