Trader Desktop Homepage

The Trader Desktop Homepage occupies the centre of the ITAS home page and is divided into three sections that can be customised using Tiles. Users are able to create shortcuts to many different areas within ITAS and to other external links.

Menu Item Tiles

Menu Item Tiles can be created by the user to provide shortcuts to menu items they use most frequently. This removes a number of steps from the process of opening menu options speeding up the users workflow. Tiles are pinned and unpinned to the Trader Desktop from the Trading Entity. Each tile will appear in the same colour assigned to the relevant trading entity for quick identification.

Creating Menu Item Tiles

Menu Item Tiles are created by 'pinning' menu items to the Trader Desktop homepage. From Trading Entities on the Navigation Panel, hovering the cursor over a menu item will reveal a pin icon in the menu option appear.

Click on the pin and the to create a shortcut on the Trader Desktop Homepage. The pin icon will turn blue to indicate a tile has been added to the Trader Desktop Homepage and the module will appear as a tile on the Trader Desktop Homepage.

Removing Menu Item Tiles

When a menu item has been pinned to the Trader Desktop Homepage from Trading Entities on the Navigation Panel, a blue pin will will be visible. Click on the pin and the shortcut will be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage.

Alternatively tiles can be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage by hovering the cursor over the top right corner of the Tile to reveal a pin. Click the pin to remove the shortcut.

User Personal Tiles

User Personal Tiles can be created by the user to provide shortcuts to menu items or other .exe’s within ITAS or to create links to external information such as a frequently visited website or a document stored on their computer.

Creating User Personal Tiles

User Personal Tiles are created by clicking on the Add Shortcut Tile on the Trader Desktop homepage. Click on the Add Shortcut Tile to reveal the Add Shortcut screen. Once the required details have been competed the Personal User Tiles are created.

There are several types of User Personal Tiles that can be created:

• Executable
• Document
• Stats
• WebPage
• Link
• Favourite
• Target
• Bookmark

Removing User Personal Tiles

User Personal Tiles can be removed from the Trader Desktop Homepage by hovering the cursor over the top right corner of the Tile to reveal a pin. Click the pin to remove the shortcut.

ITAS Information Tiles

ITAS Information Tiles provide links to content that Hivedome can feed direct to the Trader Desktop Homepage. In the past this has been used to inform users of new developments or functionality and links to release notes for upgrades.

ITAS Information Tiles are controlled by Hivedome and therefore cannot be removed by the user.

Trading Entity Desktop

As an alternative to launching ITAS and the Trader Desktop Homepage appearing, it is possible for users to set their default homepage to the Trading Entity Desktop instead. This means that a Trading Entity will be visible when ITAS is launched and not the shortcut Tiles of the Trader Desktop Homepage.

Switching to the Trading Entity Desktop

The Trading Entity Desktop is set to the default homepage in User Preferences on the User Menu.

Select the Trading Entities Radio Button and select a default trading entity to view upon launching ITAS, select one from the drop Default Trading Entity dropdown list. Alternatively ITAS can display the last trading entity viewed before the user last logged off by ticking the Use Last Trading Entity Field

Click the Save Changes Button. The changes will take effect from the next time you log in.
