How to use CLI

Once you have opened the CLI window, in order to use CLI you must enter a valid Account Reference. You can either create an Account Reference or you can enter an existing Account Reference if you are going to amend, delete, view or freeze an account. You may use the ^F Find command to search for the Account Reference you require to amend/enquire.
For a consistent use in CLI and for the efficient interaction with the rest of ITAS it is important to define the Account Reference and Account Type fields effectively.

Account Reference

Unique identifier that represents the account throughout ITAS. The Account Reference also classifies the account as a Bought account (extension .P), Sales account (extension .S) or a Trading (F&O/FX/CFD) account (extension .T). The Account Reference can be number or alias (friendly name to identify the account).
Format: Between 3 and 8 numeric or alphanumeric characters followed by a dot and a 1-character extension. Extensions can be any of the following:
P: The account represents a Bought Ledger counterparty
T: The account represents a Trading counterparty (F&O, CFD, FX)
S: The account represents a Sales Ledger counterparty
Examples: 00ASIF.T (Trading account), CALCOM.P (Bought Ledger account)
It is important to select the correct extension of the Account Reference because different features are available according to the account style.

Account Type

Definition of the type of client represented by the account. Chose from the combo box the Account Type that most accurately fits the account (e.g. Bank, Warehouse, Trading House, Farmer, etc.). Bought and Sales Ledger (.P and .S) accounts will have the same Account Type options to choose from, Trading accounts (.T) have a different option list. Both Account Type lists include an "Unspecified" option.
It is important to nominate the correct Account Type for it will enable/disable certain CLI forms according to the information relevant to the different types of accounts (e.g. the Account Type = Bank will enable the TRS System form and the Account Type = Warehouse, will enable the Warehouse form).

Details/Trading

Accounts that have been set-up as Trading accounts (.T) will have access to the Trading details form. This form holds mainly F&O/FX commission rates for clients and brokers. If the account being maintained is not a broker, all commissions maintained are payables by the client for trading in specific currencies with override conditions for instrument/commodity. If the account being maintained is a broker, the rates refer to commissions paid to the broker or IB. To enter this form use mouse right click, View/ Trading Details. See CLI field helps for detailed information of field entries.

Details/Banks and TRS Trading

Accounts that have been setup as a bank or FX trading clients will have access to the TRS System form. This form holds general information regarding ownership, size (area and volume), insurance details, current rates for receipt/storage/delivery, days-out, associated Shed descriptions. To enter this form use mouse right click, View/ Warehouse Details. See CLI field helps for detailed information of field entries. The report listing these details is accessed from the main CLI screen/Reports. There is an INVENTORY. enquiry in this form that enables views of summary positions and drilldown to individual parcels/items

For all accounts CLI has a separate form for entering additional contact details. These normally are names, phone numbers, mailing addresses etc. Additionally there are several fields that are maintained for marketing/client relations purposes such as last and next contact date, client interests and hobbies, report and card sending, etc. To enter this form use mouse right click, View/ Contact Details. This information is mainly used in DOCDES forms design and can be used for email addressing

There are several features available, one provides for the printing of labels for selected accounts, another is a specialist trading accounts list for Introductory Brokers, another is Client balances listing and specific user controlled reports can be produced using the REPORT Writer procedure. The system standard layouts will have been previously setup and associated with the CLI procedure as well as the standard REPORT option. You can specify your own designs here, if you have been given sufficient privilege by the system manager in CMP (GF company). The alternative is to use the ITAS option REPORT on the GENERAL page. The label print will allow specification of own label sizes/numbers on a sheet.
