NAQ - Nominal Ledger Account Enquiry

What is NAQ

NAQ is the Nominal/ General Ledger account enquiry program. It is used for viewing/ drilling down into all transactions that are posted to a Nominal/ General Ledger account.

There are two levels of drill down:
 1) The transaction level, displaying information regarding all transactions related to a particular account.
 2) The document level, displaying information regarding all posted documents related to a particular transaction within a given account.

In NAQ, as in other enquiry programs, you cannot create accounts or amend their contents, all account modification is done in the corresponding maintenance program (in this case NOM).
The Nominal/ General Ledger holds accounts that are permanent in nature (e.g. assets, realised P+L, control accounts). Other, more volatile accounts (e.g. clients, unrealised P+L), are maintained in other ITAS ledgers (CLI = Client Ledger and WIP = Work In Progress Ledger, M&S = Man and Ship). Nevertheless, customisation during setup of ITAS allows for all accounts to be held in the Nominal/ General Ledger if desired. In the Nominal/ General Ledger you will find balance sheet (B/S) accounts and profit and loss (P+L) accounts.
