COUNTRIES - Maintain Country (BOEC) Codes
What is COUNTRIES
COUNTRIES is the country code maintenance program. It is used to create, amend and delete the country codes used throughout ITAS.
In COUNTRIES the main information held is the country abbreviation, full name, world location/region and it's time zone. The Region code is free style and is used in WIPSUM for locating what countries are grouped in specific regions for vessel/charter position reporting.
In the initial ITAS setup, a full list of country codes will be installed which can be subsequently maintained when necessary. This standard list can be changed to use some other reference but it is recommended that once a set is chosen, not to make any further amendments unless absolutely necessary. However new country codes can be inserted when they occur.
