New Features

ITAS Float Panel

A brand new feature, the ITAS ‘Float Panel’ has been delivered I this release. It will be used to home many future peripheral features which will really help you with the day to day running of ITAS.

For this release you can see all the ‘Current’ ITAS Menu Items that are open in one place. You can interact directly with the menu items by closing one, closing them all or bringing each window to the front.

The float panel can be pinned ‘on top’ (just like task manager} so it always appears on to of other windows.

Updated Existing Features

ITAS Desktop Alert

This release see a step towards the new ITAS Alerts Architecture. The previous system is reliant on a SQL Server based delivery mechanism which works well but is restricted to the Physical Contracts area of the ITAS database. Current alerts are Trading Entity specific which is highly restrictive as a separate alert has to be set up for each Trading Entity but the biggest issue is that the process to remember which alerts have or have not been sent, in the event of a system failure or server restart is highly intensive and alerts cannot be guaranteed delivery following a power or server crash.

Over the last few months Hivedome have developed a lightweight and re-usable messaging system called the ITAS Events Engine and this release couples the previously released Desktop Alert feature to the Events engine. Later releases will see ITAS the Events technology expanded to other areas of the system.
