ITAS Release 8.19.0

Overview

Release Date: 1st August 2023

This version of Trader Desktop delivers the following new features:

  • F&O Data Entry (Preview)
  • Data View Management UI
  • MS Teams Channel Integration

This version of Trader Desktop delivers enhancements to the follow existing features:

  • Admin Alert Management UI (P2)
  • Company Export (P2)
  • Workflow Manager (P2)

New Features

F&O Data Entry (Preview)

The first phase of this new Data Portal feature will deliver Create, Update and Delete functions. It will also be looking at Import & Confirm routines, to show how mass data can be managed. Trade editing will be through a simple UI (panel).
Details:
  • Standard Data Entity grids for trades
  • Custom grid used for Import process (pre-confirm) as data in files could be garbage and this will break EF
  • The proposal is to load the file onto the grid , allow the users to fix any issues and then import , so only valid data gets to the fut02

Data View Management

Part of a multi-phase development, 8.19 will enable administrators to add new Data Views  to Data Portal based on existing ones using a nominated Layout. The Admin UI will provide a presentation of the Data Portal structure and allow some basic configuration in terms of customising the Navigation menu (including the Folder and Data View names). The latter will be a Premium feature and be driven by an existing Data View with an applied Layout/Filter which can be converted to a dedicated DV.

Details:

Enable Administrators to manage the presentation of Data Portal

  • Amend existing DVs (name, sequence)
  • Enable and Disable DVs
  • Tie in DV permission control (next phase)

MS Teams Channel Integration

Following the first phase introduced in ITAS Services 8.17.0, that enabled redirection of user-subscribed alerts to MS Teams personal ‘chat’ channel, this phase will enable the assignment of a topic to a specific Teams Channel.

This would be useful in the situation when a notification needs to go to a team of users (channel members) for group notifications and potentially follow-up discussions.

Mexico/Diversa Adapter (Outbound)

The Diversa Adapter introduces electronic invoicing workflow activity for Mexico→Diversa.

Enhancements 

Admin Alert Management UI (P2)

This development involves extending the capabilities for Data Portal administrators to manage alerts. The screen will allow creating/editing/deleting, enable/disable, applying optional pre-filters and assigning subscriptions to Teams channels.

Details:

This development involves introducing a new screen to Data Portal administrators for managing alerts. This will allow:

  • Creating the initial alert to be available to users
  • Recall alert for editing
  • Simple enable/disable toggle
  • Applying an optional pre-filter to make the alert more specific than simple data change (e.g. filter stock WIP accounts)
  • Add AlertID to columns
  • Assigning subscriptions to Teams channels

Company Export (P2)

This phase will extend the range of properties/parameters available to the Workflow Manager request model. This will involve creating 2 new activities; DB→JSON and JSON→DB (i.e. export/import via JSON files). It will also looking to introduce DB→DB (ORACLE).

  • Wildcard-based option to identify specific tables
  • option to create new TE tables as part of the request

Workflow Manager UI (P2)

This PHASE will enable Triggers based on regular schedules (set time on nominated days) and intervals (every n minutes between hour x and hour y). It will also introduce events-driven workflows (data change and operational alerts).

This will support the migration of WFv1 to Workflow Manager (WFM)

Details:

  • New triggers:
    • cron-style with front-end (constructor) to handle schedule/intervals
    • EventsConsume
  • New activities:
    • See Mexico Diversa Adapter (Outbound) above

Auto-Index Documents (P2)

Follow on from the work done in 8.18.0, this phase will handle the specific scenario when the requirement is to store an email body that includes embedded image(s). This will affect

  • ITAS Docman Server (heritage windows service) which will identify/extract the embedded images
  • Docman API which will need to include images in PDF generation step

Data View Configuration

Enhancements to Extended Properties to enable the configuration of text columns to be shown as either

  • A drop-down including distinct values is presented (e.g. when selecting common values)
  • A simple text box (e.g. for free-format comments, notes)

Details:

  • Property to be added in GridColumns where the EP is managed

Control OData Reports Access

This development Introduces restrictions on access to OData Reports when not licenced (i.e. ITAS Core customers).
