This release addresses numerous issues regarding ITAS Trader Desktop windows, including parent-child relations, windows ordering, errors on window closures and windows locking during long running processes. All of these issues were resolved by changing a fundamental aspect of how the windows interact with each other. It is possible that other issues could persist, if so they should be raised in the usual manner at http://hivedome.zendesk.com however, the expectation is that many if not all will be resolved.
Trader Desktop
New Features
- Busy Indicator displays on selected tiles when their application is loading.
- Smart Panel Current tab will display busy indicator on applications that are loading.
- Help Window will instantly be in focus when selected and display busy indicator while loading content.
- Trading Entity screen will display busy indicator when screen is loading.
- Windows taskbar Smart Panel tabs menu - Right click the ITAS icon in the Windows taskbar for access to specific panel tabs (see below image). As before you can still left click the icon to open the smart panel on the tab that is currently in use.
Updates to Existing Features
- New User Videos: you can now view several new animations showing how to get the best from ITAS 8. To view the videos, click on the 'User Videos' tile on your Trader Desktop home screen.
- ITAS 8 DocMan - Hyperlinks added to the Company Documents screen to open relevant application for Contract ID, WIP, Client Account and DocRef.
Trader Desktop Information
- Known issue pop up alert when Desktop opened on Trading Entities screen or Trader Desktop screen.
Trader Desktop Bug Fixes:
- The Hogging of system resources when generating heavyweight reports and preventing use of other areas of ITAS has now been resolved.
- Windows z-order (relationships between main and child) getting out of sync which was affecting the closing position / focus has now been resolved.
- Random errors on closure of some child forms have now been corrected.
- Users can now continue to use Trader Desktop while Valuation is running.
- Email addresses entered into ITAS with spaces are now trimmed .
- Auto Data Export Screen Schedule time now displayed in hours and minutes.
- Folders disappearing on Trading Entity navigation panel has now been resolved.
- Help is now bought to the front when a new page is loaded.
- Keyboard shortcuts now working as expected when Smart Panel is in focus.
- Smart Panel styling for server 2012 is now in sync with all other versions.
- Smart Panel History tab, expected number of results now takes into account duplicates and displays the correct amount.
- User Preference options 'Default Trading Entity' and 'Use Last Trading Entity' now work together when either one is selected/deselected.
- Codes Table Service now handles columns that do not exist.
- My Alerts window scroll bar now works with the mouse wheel.
- Error when selecting KeyBoard shortcuts help window has now been resolved.

- ITAS Server Service Status: Status of the ITAS Server Service has changed.
- ITAS Notifications Service Status: Status of the ITAS Notifications Service has changed.
- Service Order Created: New Service Order Line.
Updates to Existing Features
- Alerts Admin menu has been reordered.
- Error message now shown when creating a new Alert where the title already exists.
- User Alert screen, 'Add filter' and 'Edit filters' links now display correctly.
Bug Fixes:
- When no value selected for 'Table', correct error message now displays.

- ITAS API Archived list has now been reordered with the latest archived version first.
